Ubisoft, I salute you! I’ve been waiting for a long time for a new Rayman game, ever since he took a backseat in his own spin-off franchise. And now, finally, the wait is over. Last night at their E3 press conference, Ubisoft announced Rayman Origins, a return to 2D form for the limbless one, which will be a prequel to the first Rayman.

I’m loving the artstyle, which looks like an Anders Morgenthaler comic come to life, not to mention the typica Michel Ancel humour. Notice, for instance, the expressions on the fairy’s face as Rayman blows air up her dress. You can find the full trailer after the cut. No word on which consoles it will ship for.
