Portal 2 has officially been announced for the PlayStation 3. This announcement came courtesy of a very nervous looking Gabe Newell during Sony’s E3 press conference.

“PlayStation 3 is the most open platform of all the current generation consoles and has worked extremely hard to make the platform the most desirable for consumers and developers.

As such, we are delighted to announce Portal 2 for the PlayStation 3 and believe the Steamworks support included will make it the best console version of the game,” Newell stated in a press release.

A quick launch trailer was also shown, which you can find below. It looks like the player and GLAdOS will be teaming up to fight whatever’s taken over the Aperture Science facility.
