Mad Catz have sent out a press release announcing that their new R.A.T. Professional Gaming Mice series is now shipping out to hardcore PC gamers who want a mouse that’ll help enhance their performance.

The R.A.T. series features unrivaled ergonomics and crazy-high specifications. They’re also highly customizable. The top-of-the-range model features latency-free 2.4GHz wireless, two custom rechargeable battery packs, 42g of removable weight to get the optimum weight and a ridiculously high 5600DPI laser for the actual mouse movement.

There’s also a precision aim mode, which helps to steady your aim with the ability to raise or lower the DPI on the fly. There’s also a ton of programmable features. Best of all, the mouse looks like a science fiction tank. It looks awesome.

The most expensive model, described above, is $129.99 or £99.99, but there’s models just as awesome but with less features going all the way down to $49.99/£34.99.

They’re shipping now from Amazon, Gamestop, Best Buy and other top online retailers – go run a search for the R.A.T. mouse and check them out. We’ll be checking these out at the Mad Catz E3 booth, too, so we’ll be sure to bring you our thoughts.

At first I thought I was looking at the Batmobile.

I’ll admit, the ability to adjust the DPI at will is pretty interesting. Would definitely give you an interesting advantage in FPS gaming.
