This is something a lot of us didn’t really see coming. During the Microsoft Xbox 360 E3 Press Conference, Hideo Kojima appeared on stage to finally reveal an entry to the Metal Gear Solid franchise on the Xbox 360.

“It feels great to finally stand here, on the Xbox 360 stage. I’m bringing the Metal Gear Solid franchise to Xbox 360. I can confirm that the next major release will be released Metal Gear Solid Rising.”

When asked about what this game would entail for Solid Snake, Kojima simply replied:

“I didn’t say anything about Solid Snake!”

Images flashed across the screen, showing off various metallic appendages and body parts, as well as some white hair. The game’s protagonist: Raiden… As a CYBORG NINJA!

According to Kojima this is going to be a completely new Metal Gear Solid experience, exclusive to Xbox 360.
