Well, most of us did ask for a new Mario game.

For the first time since 4 console generations ago, a second Mario title is appearing on a Nintendo home console. Though I really doubt this is what a lot of us were expecting.The title was unveiled just moments ago, during the E3 press conference

A gameplay video was shown, providing some details. The Bee Mario suit makes a triumphant return and the WiiMote’s pointer capabilities is once again going to be used. We saw no star bits to collect, but what we did see was Yoshi. A full 3D Yoshi, hopefully one a bit more awesome than those found in Super Mario Sunshine. The Yoshi could be ridden (du’h) and used in various platforming puzzles.

No release date was revealed, but we will keep you posted when one pops up.
