That is a PSP Go! Horribly named, and it’s pretty ugly when it’s slid open. Sexy when closed though. Anyway, the handheld is meant to come in 8gb and 16gb models, the screen slides up (as you can see) to reveal the same buttons as the PSP you’ve got now, including just one analogue. Godammit.
It also lacks a UMD drive.
This is a leak. The next Qore was accidentally released early by some unfortunate Sony employee, containing information on the PSP Go! With the internet being what it is, you can watch the PSP Go! info video here and see images of the handheld here on Eurogamer.
It’s still a terrible name.
If Sony keeps the price low and allows consumers to back-up UMD games into digital form, I’d say it’ll take off big time. I think Sony’s done a good job at answering a lot of requests from the PSP hardware. I am curious what the unit feels like while playing something. I’m planning on picking one up when they come out to see.
