Satoru Iwata announced in his GDC keynote that 3 Final Fantasy titles are coming to WiiWare.
First off, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My life as a King will be getting a sequel, titled “My life as a Darklord”. Darklord puts players in the shoes of the Darklord’s daughter, charged with dispatching would-be heroes with various death traps and monsters. Basically not unlike Dungeon Keep and Tower Defence.
Secondly, Final Fantasy IV: The Years After, originally a phone game focusing on Cecil and Rosa’s son is being released on WiiWare, as well as the original Final Fantasy on Virtual Console.

I’m glad people outside of Japan can finally play FFIV: The After Years. What’s really surprising to me is that they are putting FF1 on VC. I thought they would keep the porting machine running on those titles.
Could this mean SE is finally warming up to putting older titles on the other consoles as well? I’m rooting for the PS1 FF’s to come to PSN.
@Andrew Patrick,
Remember, we called it. *chuckles*
