Well, it appears the surprise title which Capcom promised to announce today is none other than… Lost Planet 2.

The trailer, which is currently only available to download from the Xbox Live Marketplace, shows off some new game features which should at least prove to be interesting, such as progressive climate changes, and more interestingly… co-op play.

“Players wished they had been able to take on the Akrid enemies in a co-op mode,” Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi said in the movie. “You should be able to see our response to those requests in the trailer you just saw.”

This should be pleasant news for fans of the franchise, at least.
