In a Q&A with GameDaily, NoA Prez Reggie Fils-Aime insists that Nintendo continously listens to its fans. The company has had to endure a lot of critisism lately, due to their recent console mostly being reduced to the status of a “casual console”.
“We listen to our fans all the time,” said Reggie.
“Nintendo fans are the most passionate in the world, and believe me, they make their opinions heard. We’re not claiming our way of doing things is better or worse than anyone else – ot’s just different,” he added.
“We listen very closely to what people have to say, both pros and cons, and keep those feelings in mind as we plan ahead.”
Fils-Aime also stated that Nintendo is “always developing new games and experiences”, but had to add that there’s a certain balance between developing new IPs entirely and creating new games for the “old IPs” that has to be found.
