Electronic Arts and DICE confirmed today that Mirror’s Edge’s first batch of downloadable content will be hitting the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store this coming January.
The downloadable content will bring with it nine additional Time Trial races, set in an abstract world setting. The nine abstractly designed levels will be spread across seven new maps that with no guards or guns, and will be focused entirely on the the running.
The PS3 version of Mirror’s Edge will come with one additional race over the 360 version. Nothing to cry home about I’m afraid, PS3 fanboys. It’s no Lost and Damned, I’m afraid.

Another brave move, to depart from familiar territory. Especially since mirror’s edge was hardly familiar to begin with. Looks challenging, to say the least.
@Samuel, Brilliant music too, eh?
@Michael O’Connor, yeah, I DL’d Still Alive: The Remixes. That track is included, and the rest are pretty good as well. I’m especially a fan of the Paul Van Dyke mix.
