Lionhead have announced new downloadable content for their latest game, Fable 2; Knothole Island will be a completely new location with new content, quests, and items.
Knothole Island.
“Hundreds of years ago, the tribe from Knothole Glade discovered the existence of an island far off the mainland said to offer its inhabitants full control over their weather. Tired of constant Balverine attacks and damp, dreary weather, the tribe elders decided they would find this mythic island and settle there.
The ancient civilisation who originally lived on the island created the magical artefacts that control the weather, and hid them in dangerous caves so that their warriors would be tested every year.”
Says the Press release about the history of the new island.
Key features are
- 3 Unique Quests set in 3 unique dungeons
- Discover the hidden secrets of the resurrection Shrine
- Wear a whole new range of outfits and look like a biker, Barbarian or an armoured knight.
- 6 new weapons
- Dozens of new unique potions that will alter your appearance completely.
- An entire new set of Augments to add to your weapon
- Over 50 additional leaderboards.
In order to play the new content Co-op, both players must have the pack download. It will be released Mid December and cost a lovely 800 Gamer points.

This looks awfully pretty… but the price? Meeeh…
@Michael O’Connor, Agreed, I wouldnt mind knowing how BIG these dungeons are, before I consider it.
My transvestive mage loves it. Something to dig his giant horns into.
Sounds like a decent enough concept, but are three new quests and a whole bunch of other optional stuff really worth it? I’m sure it’ll be getting some purchases, but they should try doing something different that adds to the story.
