Many of us are undoubtedly still salivating over the announcement this morning of new Star Wars MMORPG set in the Knights of the Old Republic universe, but there are some games who will obviously be wary. BioWare believes it can win over you nay-sayers though.
Talking at the live press conference in California, Daniel Ericson, the lead writer on the new MMO believe that the game’s story will make all the difference to this game, especially “if you hate MMOs”
“If you’re a BioWare fan, you’re going to get everything you ever imagine from an extension of KOTOR,” he said.
Promises have been made of extensive storytelling not seen in MMORPGs before. If they can pull it over, consider us impressed. But if anyone can pull it off… it’s BioWare.

Bioware can probably pull it off, but they shouldn’t try to overdo themselves, like they did with Kotor 2. Maybe I’m just stupid, but Kotor 2’s plot confused me like crazy.

@Jens Erik Vaaler, kOTOR 2 wasn’t handled by BioWare.
Lucasarts outsourced the sequel to a different company, Obsidian Entertainment. They just used the back-bone of the engine that BioWare had developed.

And furthermore Obsidian were leaned on by lucasarts to rush the game out the door before it was finished.
Either way I’m still skeptical, and knowing the game’s gonna be pay to play will be this game’s next hurdle for bringing non Mamorpaguh players in.
