Nintendo of America boss-man Reggie Fils-Aime has expressed surprise at how hardcore the hardcore gamer appears to be, and how much they like to play game. Not like the title didn’t give it away or anything.
“The gaming enthusiast that buys a tremendous amount of games is truly insatiable,” he said in a recent interview with VentureBeat. “As an example, in March, we launched Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In April, we launched Mario Kart. In later April, we launched Wii Fit.
“Then, in July, at E3, they say, ‘where are the games?’ They say they want the next Mario game. Super Mario Galaxy isn’t even a year old yet.”
..I imagine gamers across the internet are going to have a field-day with this one. I’m saying nothing.

Reggie thinks three games, (one which is debatable if it is a game and not a utility) from six months ago are a decent amount of “hardcore games”?
Nintendo just needs to put out more games targeted at a older audience then five, and support WiiWare much more. The DS saw much more hardcore games then the Wii, they need to transfer over some of that attention.
