No matter how fancy the screenshots look, how polished the trailers, Diablo III just isn’t as close to release as we’d all like, says Blizzard boss Rob Pardo.

When asked about a possible release date while talking to Wired, he said “I don’t know how far out it is, but it’s still fairly early in development. I think when people see it, it feels so polished and so finished, but the reality is we have a very small portion of the game done right now.”

Damn. They had my hopes up too.
