A news Elder Scrolls game has always been a big deal amongst western RPG fans, so it’s time to rejoice, Bethesda announced today that it’s likely to publish a new Elder Scrolls game in 2010.

“At the moment we’ve got Fallout 3 for this year and potentially there’s a new Elder Scrolls title in 2010,” stated Bethesda publishing executive Paul Oughton to the press today.

“At the moment we’re not that interested in the Wii. We’re going to stick to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. We’ll continue to pursue three or four titles a year and go for big titles,” he added, when discussing the company’s publishing plans for the future.

So only two years to wait then, eh? It’ll be hear before we know it!

I loved Morrowind. I hoped I’d love Oblivion, but it just never did anything for me, as it was one of the most repetitive games I’ve ever laid hands on. I hope they can break from that and produce a game in which every experience unique.
